Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) turned down the proposed from Australian
Dragon Boat Federation (AusDBF) to change the composition of
Mixed Crew to even number of both sexes (i.e. 10/10 or 09/09). The
reason was this changes will not enhance mixed crew racing.

由澳洲龍舟聯會提出混合組的組合由8至12位女槳手改為10男10女或9男9女的提議,不獲國際龍舟聯會接納,國際龍舟聯會的理由是此項改變并不能提高賽事的水準.

Revised
IDBF Paddle Specification (Spec 202) has been effective from 01 Jan
2003. Approve paddle will bear the IDBF approved paddle mark. The spec
202 paddle can be used in World Dragon Boat Racing Championship.
Paddle with European Dragon Boat Federation (EDBF) approved mark also
can be used. Other paddle have to be check against with spec 202
parameter

由2003年1月1日起,國際龍舟聯會的槳板規定(spec
202)經已生效.由認可生產商制做的槳板圴有認可的標記.
Spec202的槳板適用於上海舉辦的世界龍舟錦標賽,
歐洲龍舟聯會認可的槳板亦適用於上海錦標賽.其他槳板則須通過spec202的規定才可使用.

South Africa and UK expressed they have interest to bid for it.
